The Duke of Edinburgh has had a successful surgery, Buckingham Palace has said.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 99, was first admitted to private King Edwards VIIs hospital after falling sick at Windsor Castle. He has since been moved to St Bartholomew’s hospital where he has been undergoing treatment since Monday, including surgery for a pre-existing heart condition.
On Thursday, Buckingham Palace said in a statement “His Royal Highness will remain in the hospital for treatment, rest and recuperation for a number of days.”
