Burnley fans told to evacuate stand during Premier League clash Hundreds of Burnley supporters have had to evacuate from a stand mid-match after a piece of metal was spotted hanging from the roof. Burnley were taking on Wolves at Turf Moor tonight. The club posted: Burnley fans are in the process of being moved from a section of the Jimmy McIlroy stand due to current safety concerns with the roof. “We thank supporters for their co-operation and patience while we do this.” Fans who had to move were taken to the club’s Fan Zone to watch the remainder of the game.
